It is a non-returnable bottle with a 6.5 oz. capacity and is already in the marketplace. Vidriera Querétaro is responsible for manufacturing the entire requirement of glass bottles.
Coca-Cola, the company that has quenched the thirst of Mexicans for over eight decades, adds a new member to its product list in the Classic, Light and Zero versions with the addition of a 6.5 oz. non-returnable glass bottle where Vitro, Mexico’s leading glass manufacturer, is the sole producer of the new container.
“All of the bottles are produced and labeled by Vidriera Querétaro”, explains Alejandro Gebara, Beverage Marketing Manager for the Vitro Glass Containers business unit.
The bottle is crystal clear and conserves the classic practicality of the contour shape that identifies Coca-Cola bottles.
“In addition to the finishes we can offer, our installed capacity gives us a strong competitive advantage, since we have the necessary installations to satisfy, on a very timely basis, our customer’s needs. For this reason the bottlers in the Coca-Cola system trust our Company for their new product launches”, confirms Gebara.
The complete product and labeling development process took just two months with the new product launching into the marketplace in June.
This new product is currently being distributed in the central region of Mexico in traditional and convenience outlets at an economical price of $3.00 pesos, an attractive price point for the consumer.
“It is highly motivational to have undertaken this Project, as we’re dealing with a customer who is committed to quality and who has a well known and prestigious history throughout Mexico and the world”, Gebara points out.
In addition to this bottle Vitro supplies the Coca-Cola System with bottles for their cola beverages in non-returnable 8 oz. and 500 ml. sizes and returnable bottles in 6.5 and 12 oz., 500 ml.,1000 ml. and 1,250 ml. sizes. |
