It is a great honor to serve through the years the oldest winery in the Americas

Located 210 kilometers west of Monterrey, Casa Madero makes superior quality wines that are enjoyed in more than 23 countries. Vitro manufactures Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne style wine bottles to satisfy the winery’s needs that also operates the oldest vineyards and wine cellars in the American continent.

Founded in 1597 the cellars of Casa Madero are located in Parras Valley in the south central region of the state of Coahuila about 210 kilometers west of Monterrey and 140 kilometers east of Torreon.

Casa Madero is one of the few wineries that produces its own grapevines in its own nursery. Among the varieties cultivated for red wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Tempranillo; for white wines it cultivates varieties that include Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Semillon and Colombard.

Its portfolio of brands include: Casa Grande, Casa Madero, San Lorenzo, Monteviña, Carlon Doble, Parras Primero, Blanco Madero, Madero Brandy and 3V.

“For these wines we manufacture 750 ml. Bordeaux and Burgandy style bottles, a 900 ml. Champagne bottle and a small 375 ml. Bordeaux bottle,” explains Pedro Dávila, Commercial Manager for the North Zone of Vitro’s Containers business unit.

He adds that the company supplies different colored bottles according to the product to be bottled including: antique green, champagne green, crystal clear and dried leaf green.

The two manufacturing facilities responsible for supplying these bottles are Vidriera Monterrey and Vidriera Guadalajara.

Casa Madero has won awards on multiple occasions and just this year alone has won 44 medals and 7 honorable mentions in wine competitions in different parts of the world. Its wine, Casa Grande Shiraz 2006, won a silver medal in the prestigious Shiraz Du Monde competition and was designated the best Mexican table wine.

“In virtue of the fact that Casa Madero’s table wines are enjoyed in more than 23 countries, proving the superior quality and potential of great Mexican wines, our bottles also are circulating the world which is motivational for us”, he assures us.

He concludes by highlighting the more important aspects that have contributed to the maintenance and strengthening of this business relationship between the two companies as: the wide selection of bottles we supply, availability, our close geographical proximity, timely deliveries, but above all, a steady focus on total customer satisfaction.
